Stupak Amendment

In light of Rep. Shuler’s vote in favor of the Stupak amendment, it is important to know what the long term effects of this bill will mean to women.

Disappointment!

I feel sick with disappointment to be represented by someone who not only voted against health reform last night, but was also one of 15 Democrats to vote against allowing the health bill to proceed to the floor for a vote.  It is becoming clear that Rep. Shuler rarely represents me.  Further, it is becoming clear that he does not support our President.

Hello NC-District 11 Voters!

Welcome!

This blog has been established so that citizens in District 11 of NC can have a place to post their experiences when contacting Rep. Shuler’s office.  If you will look to the right sidebar, you will see “wncvoices.”  Click on this and a community forum will appear.  In the upper left corner you will see the registration button.  Registration is a simple process and you will only need to register one time.  You will notice that I have posted a summary of my experiences to start the forum.

You can start your own forum and invite friends and colleagues to respond to your postings.  My primary interest is to make visible voter’s experiences when contacting our representative’s office.  However, if you have another burning topic related to the needs of WNC, please do use the forum to post your topic.  Perhaps you would like to post a forum topic on Congressman Shuler’s voting record, his major initiatives on the part of his constituents, etc.  It is your forum and you will become the moderator of your forum topic

Please remember the rules of civility and keep your posts to descriptions rather than railing or effusive comments.  The forum is open to all regardless of party affiliation.  Comments and suggestions are welcome, but do remember that I want to keep this site simple and easy to use.  You may wish to click on the “About” icon to learn more.
